#1 Kick-off of the coSAM Project – Official Start

coSAM Kickoff

On November 21st of 2019 the three partners in the coSAM consortium, Actimage, InQu Informatics and Fraunhofer IVV, gave the official starting signal in Dresden!

Over the next 36 months, an innovative assistance system for changeover processes will be developed. The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and aims at effectively reducing changeover times using cutting edge technologies such as Machine Learning and Augmented Reality. Various partners from the food processing and mechanical engineering industries are contributing to the development with their experience.

The project name coSAM is made up of “co” for “changeover” and “SAM” for “self-learning assistance system for machines”. The goal of the project is to develop a platform that facilitates interactive support of technicians during changeover tasks by providing suitably prepared and optimized information. The consortium partners are looking forward to a successful cooperation!
